1. The labels you will see
- Reference drawing — measured cover / sensor / thickness figures from a DaMing reference drawing are published (today: 8.0″ and 10.5″ G+G). Sample IC on the photographed tail is not a full-series promise.
- Pending — size title and often a photograph exist; outline, thickness, channels, and controller stay open until a project drawing is named. Fields stay “Confirmed per project.”
- Illustrative — peer or library still used for appearance context (common on LCM). Not a named DaMing MPN datasheet.
- Concept — discussion size or construction idea (large diagonals, glass cover options, cable concepts). No CGI pretending to be a production still.
2. Reference drawing — what it does and does not mean
Reference pages publish the mechanical figures we are willing to show publicly from a controlled drawing. Custom print, holes, bonding, and acceptance limits are still reviewed with the display and host. The controller IC visible on a sample photograph (for example CHSC5468 or TB62C on the 8.0″ / 10.5″ references) documents that sample — it is not a silent commitment that every future panel in the size band ships with the same IC.
Use Reference pages as a Reference sample or Customize options start. If your OD / VA / FPC exit differ, say so in FIXED — do not assume the published millimetres drop into a new housing without review.
3. Pending — photographed without a public millimetre table
Many PCAP diagonals keep a title and a photograph because the factory has built or handled that size class. Copied placeholder outlines from unfinished sheets are omitted on purpose. That is why Pending pages repeat “Confirmed per project” instead of inventing VA/OD millimetres.
Pending is still a valid inquiry start. Bring OD/VA or a housing photo, host interface, and CHECK questions. We will not invent a fake specification table to make the page look “complete.”
4. Illustrative and Concept
- Illustrative LCM — peer OFF-state studio stills prove appearance context. Electrical timing, pinout, and optical limits ship under inquiry with a project drawing or module datasheet — never as anonymous web tables pretending to be DaMing MPNs.
- Concept — large-size PCAP discussion, glass cover OD/print/holes ideas, custom cable discussion. Placeholders stay placeholders until a qualified photo exists. No CGI fill.
5. Photographed-only vs drawing-confirmed
A photograph proves someone held a panel. A drawing confirms envelopes, tolerances, and acceptance. DaMing’s public rule: do not upgrade a photograph into a drawing-confirmed millimetre claim. Lifecycle tags such as “Not recommended for new design” appear only if an internal list exists — we never fake them.
6. What to send when status is Pending or Illustrative
- Equipment name and whether you start from a Reference sample photo, Customize options on a known envelope, or open a New project blank-sheet
- Cover OD / VA or housing opening photo
- Touch bus and display interface expectations
- Gloves / moisture / temperature if relevant
- Quantity band for prototype vs volume
- Any must-match competitor module — we match function and envelope when materials allow; we do not clone peer logos or patented mechanics
7. Deferred cards (honest gaps)
Three gallery cards stay without a PDP on purpose: Larger diagonal LCM, COF vs board discussion, and White-goods rear color film. Missing qualified LCM photo sizes stay 404 / off-card rather than shipping a bad image. That is intentional — not an unfinished URL list.
