Requirement sets

Where the front has to fit the machine.

Each block lists constraints to bring into a review. None of them is a case study. No customer logo, no export list, and no measured field result is published here.

Requirement sets

Bring the constraints, not a customer logo.

Industrial, HVAC, medical-interface, and portable/tablet fronts share the same review pattern. Visuals below carry three-state honesty labels.

Concept

Library / mood

Keys, covers, or library stills used to explain a route. No customer named; no outcome claimed.

Pending

Photographed / in review

Real still or stack under discussion. Drawing, channels, or process not yet released.

Customer-approved

Reference on file

Reference drawing figures (e.g. 8.0″ / 10.5″) you may inspect. Custom print and bonding still reviewed per project.

Industrial / HMI

  • Window, outline, thickness and bezel mount
  • Touch and video host interfaces, power, cable exit
  • Glove type/thickness, moisture, temperature band
  • Optical vs air bonding preference, if decided
  • Not claimed: customer name, uptime or brightness field result

Appliance / HVAC / white goods

  • Fixed key actions and any display window
  • Cover path: glass, PMMA or PC; print and icons
  • Rear color film needs for white-goods faces
  • Moisture questions defined for the sample
  • Not claimed: appliance safety control or listing

Start a controls brief

Medical interface (component scope)

  • Cleaning agents and gloves that touch the surface
  • Cover / touch / display stack with validation plan
  • Documents for review vs device approval
  • What the first sample must demonstrate
  • Not claimed: biocompatibility, disinfectant resistance, clinical suitability

Portable / tablet-class OEM

  • ≈5″–10.1″ band preferred; cover OD / VA or housing photo
  • Portrait / landscape; camera / mic / LED holes in cover
  • Touch mode: single / multi / keys-only; gloves, water, chemicals
  • Touch bus + display interface; FPC exit, length, fold, ZIF pitch
  • Bonding preference; quantity band for prototype vs volume
  • Not claimed: mA, nit, public MOQ, named customer tablet shell

01 · Industrial equipment

Industrial HMI

Operator panels and embedded machine displays. Bring the mechanics, the host interface and the conditions on the line. Unknown items stay pending. Finished drawings are not required to start.

Fit

Mechanics

Window, outline, thickness and how the front mounts in the bezel.

Host

Interface

Touch connection, video connection, power and cable exit.

Field

Conditions

Gloves, moisture, temperature and what the sample must demonstrate.

Open

Not claimed

No customer is named. No uptime or brightness result is stated.

02 · Controls

HVAC and water heating

Use this when you know the functions of a water heater, heat pump or HVAC controller and still need a front-panel route. The touch interface is not the appliance safety control.

KEYS

Which actions are fixed

Power, set-points, fan, timer and any window that still needs a display.

COVER

How the face is built

Material, print, icons and the openings the enclosure needs.

CHECK

What the sample represents

Moisture questions are defined. They are not assumed from a concept drawing.

03 · Medical equipment

Interfaces, as a requirement set.

This is component and assembly design support. It is not a device certification and not a case study. No biocompatibility, disinfectant resistance or clinical suitability is claimed.

CLEAN

What touches the surface

Cleaning agents and gloves, named so the cover and tuning can be reviewed.

ROUTE

Cover, touch, display

The same stack questions as any OEM front, with the device team’s validation plan.

SCOPE

Documents, not approval

An ISO 13485 copy can be reviewed. It does not approve the finished equipment.

04 · Terminals and robot devices

Three device classes, one review.

Smart terminals, AI terminals and robot devices that need a touchscreen or a display. Say which class it is, then list what is already fixed. No recognition rate, brightness or vibration rating is published.
